Final Thoughts About the Longest-Lasting Wiper Blades

We’ve tested several long-lasting wiper blades and checked their performances during the first six months of use. Generally, new wiper blades have the same performances with insignificant differences. As the best windshield wipers start to age, degradation in quality will become visible after a few months of consistent use and regular exposure to heat and rain. Those nasty screeching sounds will start to be heard, while some may experience water streaks, leaving annoying water lines behind after every wipe.

Thus, regular wiper blade replacement every six months is justifiable. Regardless of the brand; type of material; either silicone or rubber; and whether it’s a long-lasting wiper blade or not, you’ll experience almost the same wiping performance during the early stages of use. If you live in areas with winter, you’ll have to replace the wiper blade anyway as the season changes in a year with different environmental challenges.
