Also to know, how much does it cost to replace eccentric sensor?

Eccentric shaft sensors is not the same as a cam sensor. The ESS is about $250-$450 depending on whether you get OEM or not. There are 3 gaskets that should be replaced and it’s about $50-$70ish for them. It’s about 3 hours of labor to replace the valve cover gasket, valvetronic motor gasket, and ESS gasket.

What is a BMW vanos problems?

Symptoms of a Bad BMW VANOS System Loss of power and torque, primarily in the lower ranges, typically below 3k RPMS. Engine hesitation and bogging in the lower rpm ranges. Rough idle with frequent hiccups. Increased fuel consumption or poor fuel economy. Cold start issues and stalling in cold weather.

How do you reset a valvetronic motor?

Insert the valvetronic motor and connect its 2 pin plug. Then switch the ignition onto position 2 and within a space of 15 seconds, depress the accelerator pedal down to full throttle 10 times and you will hear the valvetronic motor program itself back to factory spec.
